National Centre for Infectious Diseases
The National Centre for Infectious Disease (NCID) is built against the backdrop of new variants of infectious disease threatening public health worldwide, it sets to better enhance Singapore’s ability to respond and designed to deal with large outbreaks with a screening capacity of 520 patients and a further 130 more after converting the specialist outpatient clinic. It can also be locked down during such massive outbreaks to manage highly infectious agents safely.
